This week's song is I've Just Seen A Face by The Beatles, as sung by Jim Sturgess in the film Across The Universe.

I picked it because this week, I'm going to start a new WIP - code name #HolidayRomance - and this is the first song on the playlist. This playlist is going to be made up entirely of 60s songs - both orginals and covers - because that is the music that the FMC and narrator, Audrey, loves that period a ridiculous amount. This song is absolutely perfect for when she meets the MMC, Owain, both in terms of the lyrics and the mood of this version.

I picked it because I listened to that soundtrack a lot in the last week and this song is in the scene that I just finished in my version, Ollie. Plus, it's ridiculously fun to sing along to. :D

Firstly, a quick update on word count stuff: I'm aiming for 18,000 words on Ollie for Camp WriMo now, instead of 19,000, which is 600 words a day minimum.

This week's song is Lily's Theme by Alexandre Desplat from the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 soundtrack.

I picked it because the album is my current writing music, and this piece is such a chilling and yet amazingly wonderful start to the movie and the album. And it's Harry Potter. Need I say more?

This week's song is Gotta Be You by One Direction.

I picked it because in the last week, I came up with a new ending for Stupid Cupid and as soon as I heard this the first time after that (while listening to Up All Night!), I realised that this song fitted a huge part of it so, so much that I put it on the playlist.

Also, there is a little something going on with this project which I shall not reveal just yet... You'll just have to wait.

I picked because this weekend the album that this song is from - Up All Night - was all I listened to the whole time that I was writing. It's also on the playlist for Stupid Cupid because it fits Nicky so damn well at the beginning and he loves these guys. And the song is so bouncy and fun and awesome that usually I'm like this when I listen to it:

I picked it because it's currently Paragon Academy's theme tune. To me, it's about taking each day as it comes and not giving up, which totally fits what happens in the plot and, especially, what happens to my characters' mentalities when it comes to a lot of things. like death, fighting and love. Plus, it's such a pretty song!

Secondly, due to being stuck and sending it out to people, Suns and Stars has been put on hold, and I'm working on Underdogs, an urban fantasy. I'm currently building some of the musical outline, which is a playlist that 'chronicles' the story in song form. So expect lots of songs for it in the next few weeks!
